US Counties

Pocahontas County is in the eastern part of West Virginia, where the mountains get serious. They call it “Nature’s Mountain Playground”.

Preston County sits right on West Virginia’s border with Maryland and Pennsylvania. It’s a place of rolling hills and hardworking folks.

The rolling hills of north-central West Virginia are home to Ritchie County. Harrisville is the county seat.

Roane County is right in the middle of West Virginia. It’s a rural region of West Virginia. Spencer, the county seat, is the only town.

Summers County is a little county in the southeastern part of the state. Hinton, the county seat, sits right where three rivers meet.

Taylor County sits in north-central West Virginia. It’s a county with rolling hills and friendly folks. Grafton is the county seat.

The Monongahela National Forest dominates much of Tucker County in northeastern West Virginia. It’s a paradise for the outdoors.

Tyler County is in the northern region of West Virginia. It’s small in area. The Ohio River forms its western border with the state of Ohio.

Upshur County is right in the heart of West Virginia. Buckhannon is the county seat and is home to West Virginia Wesleyan College.

Wayne County hugs the western edge of West Virginia, bordering Kentucky and Ohio. The Big Sandy and Ohio Rivers shape its boundaries.

In Webster County, the forest seems to go on forever. The Monongahela National Forest covers a big chunk of it.

Wetzel County sits right on the Ohio River, in the northern panhandle of West Virginia. It has hills and more creeks than you can count.
