US Counties

Schley County, Georgia is quite the tiny place. In the heart of the Peach State, this rural area is home to just a few thousand folks.

Screven County is a quiet place with lots of charm. It’s a bit off the beaten path, tucked away in the eastern part of the state.

Seminole County is located way down south, tucked away in the southwest corner of Georgia. Lake Seminole is the big draw here in the south.

Spalding County is located in central Georgia. Griffin serves as the county seat. Currently, about 70,000 people live in Spalding County.

Stephens County is located in northeast Georgia. Toccoa is the county seat and largest city. The name “Toccoa” means “beautiful” in Cherokee.

Stewart County lies in west-central Georgia. It’s home to Providence Canyon State Park, “Georgia’s Little Grand Canyon” and much more.

Sumter County lies in southwest Georgia. This county is the birthplace of Former President Jimmy Carter and Habitat for Humanity.

Talbot County is located in west-central Georgia, established in 1827. Talbotton serves as the county seat. Agriculture is prominent here.

Taliaferro County was established in 1825 and it’s one of Georgia’s smallest counties. Crawfordville serves as its county seat.

Tattnall County is in southeast Georgia. It was established in 1801 with Reidsville as the county seat. The population is around 24,000.

Taylor County is located in west-central Georgia with Butler as the county seat. The population here hovers around 8,000 residents.

Telfair County is located in south-central Georgia. McRae-Helena serves as the county seat. The county was established in 1807.

Terrell County was founded in 1856. It’s located in southwest Georgia with Dawson as the county seat. The population is around 8,000 people.

Thomas County is located in southwest Georgia, along the Florida border. It was established in 1825 with a population of 45,000 residents.

Tift County sits in the heart of south Georgia, about 180 miles south of Atlanta. Tifton, the county seat, is nicknamed “The Friendly City”.
