US Counties

Jessamine County’s right in the heart of bluegrass country. Nicholasville is the county seat and it’s just a stone’s throw from Lexington.

Johnson County is tucked away in eastern Kentucky. Paintsville is the county seat and is home to the U.S. 23 Country Music Highway Museum.

Kenton County is in northern Kentucky, part of the Greater Cincinnati metropolitan area. Covington and Independence are the county seats.

Knott County is in the mountains of eastern Kentucky, where the rugged terrain shapes both the landscape and the way of life.

Knox County is located in southeastern Kentucky. This county is where the Appalachian Mountains provide a rugged and scenic backdrop.

Larue County is in the middle of Kentucky, best known as Abe Lincoln’s birthplace. Hodgenville, the county seat, has a big Lincoln statue.

Lawrence County is in eastern Kentucky, right on the West Virginia border. Louisa is the county seat and sits where two rivers meet.

Lee County is nestled in the heart of eastern Kentucky. Basically, it’s where the hills start to look more like mountains.

Leslie County is in the Appalachian mountains of eastern Kentucky. Hyden is the county seat and it’s about as small-town as it gets.

Letcher County is way out in the eastern corner of Kentucky, right on the Virginia border. The county has some serious mountains.

Lewis County’s up in northeastern Kentucky, right on the Ohio River. Vanceburg is the county seat, located in the north of the county.

Lincoln County’s in central Kentucky, and no, it’s not named after Abe Lincoln. It’s named for Benjamin Lincoln, a Revolutionary War hero.

Livingston County is where the Cumberland and Ohio Rivers meet in western Kentucky. It’s a small place with a big connection to the outdoors.

Logan County is in south-central Kentucky, along the Tennessee border. It’s a place where history and agriculture go hand in hand.
