Larue County, Kentucky

Larue County is smack in the middle of Kentucky, best known as Abe Lincoln’s birthplace. Hodgenville, the county seat, has a big Lincoln statue right in the town square. You can’t miss it.
The county’s pretty rural, lots of farms and open spaces. There’s a cool old general store that’s been around since the 1800s if you want to step back in time.
If you’re a Lincoln fan, check out his boyhood home. It turns out Honest Abe was a Kentucky boy. Also, make sure to check out the Lincoln Days Festival. Just don’t show up dressed as Abe. They’ve already got that covered.
