Jessamine County’s right in the heart of bluegrass country. Nicholasville is the county seat and it’s just a stone’s throw from Lexington.
The county has some nice horse farms if you’re into that sort of thing. It has a population of about 55,000. This makes it one of the faster-growing areas in the state.
U.S. Route 27 runs through the county. When here, check out High Bridge Park. It’s along the Kentucky River with views of one of the highest railroad bridges in the country.
