US Counties

Chickasaw County is in northeast Mississippi. Named after the Chickasaw Native Americans, this county has roots.

Choctaw County is in central Mississippi, northeast of Jackson. Ackerman is the county seat, situate next to the Tombigbee National Forest.

Claiborne County sits along the western edge of Mississippi, up against the mighty Mississippi River. It’s a place where history runs deep.

Clarke County sits in east-central Mississippi, right on the Alabama border. Quitman, the county seat, is located in the center of the county.

Clay County lies in the northeastern part of Mississippi. It’s not far from the Alabama border, sitting pretty by the Tombigbee River.

The Mississippi Delta has its share of hidden gems. Coahoma County is one of them. You’ll find this county in Mississippi’s northwest corner.

Copiah County is just southwest of Jackson. The county’s mix of rolling hills and fertile plains makes for some prime farming country.

Deep in the heart of southern Mississippi lies Covington County. Agriculture still plays a big role in the local economy, with poultry farms.

DeSoto County is in northwest Mississippi, just south of Memphis. This is Mississippi’s fastest-growing corner.

Forrest County sits in the heart of south Mississippi with all of its pine forests. Hattiesburg is the county seat and is the hub of it all.

Franklin County is in southwest Mississippi. It has deep roots because it was one of the original counties when Mississippi became a state.

George County is down in the southeast corner of Mississippi. It’s a place where the air smells of pine and the Pascagoula River runs wild.

Greene County sits in the southeastern part of Mississippi, next to the Alabama border. It’s a rural area with plenty of pine forests.

Grenada County is right in the heart of Mississippi. It’s named after the Spanish colonial city, but don’t expect any Caribbean vibes here.

Hancock County sits on the Gulf Coast in the south of Mississippi. It’s the westernmost county, bordering Louisiana.
