Wayne County, Georgia
Wayne County sits in southeast Georgia, not far from the coast. Jesup, the county seat, is the hub of activity here. The old Wayne County Courthouse is a beauty, right in the heart of Jesup.
Folks here take their outdoor recreation seriously. The Altamaha River forms the county’s northeastern border. Fishing and boating make for fun activities here.
The county has deep roots in timber and agriculture. You can still see vast pine forests stretching to the horizon. The Jaycee’s Fair each fall brings the community together.
