Webster County, Georgia
Webster County is one of Georgia’s smallest counties, both in size and population. It’s tucked away in the southwest part of the state.
Preston, the county seat, is barely more than a crossroads. But don’t let that fool you. This place has character. Farming is still the main game here with peanuts, cotton, and timber.
The county’s named after Daniel Webster, the famous orator. Walter F George Reservoir is nearby to the west. The old Webster County Courthouse in Preston is a looker, even if it’s seen better days.
