Dearborn County, Indiana
Dearborn County hugs the Ohio River in southeast Indiana, right on the border with Ohio. It’s close enough to Cincinnati for an easy day trip, but far enough to keep its own identity.
Lawrenceburg, the county seat, was once known for its whiskey distilleries. These days, it’s home to a popular casino. Aurora, another river town, boasts some impressive historic architecture.
Winters are milder than northern Indiana, thanks to the river valley. Perfect North Slopes draw skiers when the snow flies. You’ll find a blend of Midwest and Appalachian culture in Dearborn County.
