Mississippi County stretches along the Mississippi River in northeast Arkansas. It’s unique in having two county seats: Blytheville and Osceola.
Once known as the world’s largest cotton-producing county, it’s now transitioning to steel production. Blytheville is also home to the Blytheville Air Force Base.
In terms of nature, the Great River Road National Scenic Byway runs through the county. Big Lake National Wildlife Refuge provides habitat for migratory birds.
