Granville County, North Carolina

Granville County stretches across the northern Piedmont of North Carolina. Oxford, the county seat, oozes small-town Southern charm. History runs deep here. You can feel it walking down Oxford’s Main Street.
Tobacco built this place. You can still see it in the architecture. These days, it’s more about education and healthcare. Vance-Granville Community College is slightly outside the county to the east.
Kerr Lake, straddling the Virginia border, is a major draw for boating, fishing, and camping. The county has a knack for festivals. The Hot Sauce Contest is a spicy favorite. It’s also close enough to the Research Triangle for an easy commute.
