Kenedy County, Texas

Kenedy County is down on the Gulf Coast in southern Texas. It’s where cattle outnumber people by a long shot. The county has more ranch land than you can shake a stick at.
Sarita is the county seat, but don’t blink or you might miss it. There’s not much in the way of towns here. What you will find is miles of pristine beaches and some of the best fishing spots in Texas.
The county is named after Mifflin Kenedy, a steamboat captain turned rancher. Wildlife’s everywhere – from deer to javelinas to hundreds of bird species. It’s quiet out here so it’s perfect for folks who want to get away from it all.
