Armstrong County, Texas

Armstrong County is right in the Texas Panhandle. It’s wide-open country, with views that stretch for miles. Claude, the only town, is small but full of character.
Palo Duro Canyon, the “Grand Canyon of Texas,” cuts through the southern part of the county. You can find its state park in the southwest corner of the county.
Ranching has been a way of life here for generations. The wind never seems to stop blowing. The county is named after a Texas Ranger, and that frontier spirit is still alive and well. It’s the kind of place where a handshake still means something.
