Lawrence County sits in south-central Indiana, where the flat farmlands start to give way to hills and forests. The county has more caves and sinkholes compared to the rest of Indiana.
Bedford is the county seat. It’s known as the “Limestone Capital of the World”. A lot of famous buildings are made with stone from here.
Visitors enjoy coming to Spring Mill State Park with its restored pioneer village and cave tours. The East Fork of the White River winds through the county and has a couple of good fishing spots.
