Phelps County, Nebraska

Phelps County sits right in the heart of south-central Nebraska. Holdrege is the biggest town and county seat. They call it the “Swedish Capital of Nebraska.” No kidding.
The county’s mostly flat. Perfect for farming. And farm they do. Corn, soybeans, you name it. There’s some industry too. Keeps the economy diverse.
The Platte River forms the northern border so it makes for some nice recreation spots. Folks here are friendly, in that Midwestern way. They’ll likely give you a wave as you drive by.
