Arthur County, Nebraska

Arthur County sits right in the middle of the Nebraska Sandhills. It’s out in western Nebraska, and let me tell you, it’s about as rural as it gets. We’re talking about the second least populous county in the state.
But don’t let that fool you because there’s still plenty to see and do. The scenery’s something else, with rolling hills covered in prairie grass. Ranching’s the name of the game here. You want to see real cowboys? This is the place.
The county seat, Arthur, is tiny but friendly. Fishing and hunting are popular pastimes. And if you’re into stargazing, the night sky out here is incredible. Almost no lights at all. Just watch out for rattlesnakes!
