Antelope County, Nebraska

Antelope County is located in northeast Nebraska. It got its name from all the pronghorn antelope that used to roam the area. These days, you’re more likely to see cattle than antelope, though.
The Elkhorn River cuts through the county, giving folks plenty of chances for fishing and canoeing. Neligh is the biggest town and county seat. There’s an old mill there that’s pretty cool to check out.
Farming’s big business here, with corn and soybeans dominating the landscape. The county fair in August is always a blast. And if you’re into history, the Ashfall Fossil Beds are in the northern region of the county.
