Butler County, Nebraska

Butler County sits in the east-central part of Nebraska, not too far from Lincoln. David City is the county seat, which is a classic small Midwestern town.
The county’s named after a War of 1812 veteran, Major General William Orlando Butler. Agriculture is the backbone of the local economy – you’ll see plenty of corn and soybean fields.
The Big Blue River runs through here with some good fishing spots. There’s a strong Czech heritage in these parts, evident in some of the local festivals and cuisine. The Bone Creek Museum of Agrarian Art in David City is worth a visit if you’re into that sort of thing.
