Tuolumne County, California
Tuolumne County is in the Sierra Nevada foothills. Sonora is the main town, with its Gold Rush-era main street. The county has a lot of retirees, but also plenty of outdoorsy types.
The county is home to part of Yosemite National Park, which is a big appeal to this county. Then, there’s Columbia State Historic Park, which is like stepping back in time. You can actually pan for gold there.
Dodge Ridge is the local ski spot. Honestly. Outdoor activities are endless, from exploring the Stanislaus National Forest to fishing in Pinecrest Lake. I can name more if you want me to.
