Uintah County, Utah

Uintah County is out in eastern Utah, bordering Colorado. Vernal is the main hub. It’s a town that knows how to balance oil rigs and prehistory. You can’t miss the pink dinosaur welcoming you to town.
The Green River cuts through it in the high desert. Flaming Gorge is another stunner. It’s a reservoir that lives up to its name, especially at sunset. Visitors love fishing, hiking, and rafting.
The county is near Dinosaur National Monument, where you can see real fossils still in the rock. This is a place where dinosaurs once roamed. Just watch out for the summer heat. It can be a scorcher.
