Rio Blanco County is in northwest Colorado. Meeker and Rangely are the main towns. It’s pretty remote out here. There’s a lot of ranching and some oil and gas production.

There’s a wild horse herd you can sometimes spot. The county is known for its elk hunting. But it’s also great for fishing and boating. 

U.S. Highway 64 and State Highway 13 provide access to this sparsely populated area. The population hovers around 6,600, making it a true escape into Colorado’s wild side.
