DeWitt County sits in central Illinois. Clinton is the county seat. The county is mostly flat farmland. But Clinton Lake is a big draw.

Hamilton County is a quiet corner of southern Illinois that most people never think about. McLeansboro is the county seat in the center.

Hancock County hugs the Mississippi River in western Illinois. Carthage is the county seat, but Nauvoo is the town with the real history.
