Edgar County, Illinois
Edgar County sits on the eastern edge of Illinois, right up against the Indiana border. Paris is the county seat. No, not that Paris, but a small Midwestern town with a big heart.
Agriculture is the top industry here. You’ll find endless fields of corn and soybeans here, stretching far and wide. The county has just over 17,000 people, most of them with deep roots in the area. Locals take pride in their agricultural heritage.
There’s not much hustle and bustle. The Twin Lakes, just outside Paris, offer a nice spot for fishing and boating. Fall is beautiful here, with harvest time bringing a flurry of activity to the farms.
