Edwards County, Illinois

Edwards County is a tiny slice of rural Illinois, tucked away in the southeastern part of the state. Albion, the county seat, is home to just over 1,900 folks. It’s small. In fact, it’s one of the least populous counties in Illinois.
Farming is the lifeblood here. Fields of corn, soybeans, and wheat dominate the landscape. The Bonpas Creek forms the eastern border, offering some pretty views and good fishing spots.
There are a couple of spots for camping and hiking, but not that many. It’s not flashy, but it’s home. With its quiet charm and rich history, Edwards County offers a peaceful slice of life in southeastern Illinois.
