Barron County, Wisconsin

Barron County stakes its claim in northwestern Wisconsin. It’s cheese country, no doubt about it. Dairy farms cover the rolling hills, and the county churns out some seriously good cheddar. But there’s more to Barron than just cheese.
The Blue Hills offer hiking trails with views that’ll make you forget you’re in the Midwest. Rice Lake, the biggest town, is a hub for shopping and events. Folks here take their hunting seriously. Deer season is practically a holiday.
The Red Cedar River is perfect for a lazy day of canoeing or tubing. Winters can be brutal, but that doesn’t stop people from ice fishing or snowmobiling. It’s where small-town values still mean something. Community is everything in Barron County.
