Crawford County, Pennsylvania

Crawford County is up in Pennsylvania’s northwest corner, next to Ohio. It has a bit of everything. Meadville is the county seat. Allegheny College is here, one of the oldest college in the United States.
This place is all about water. It has Conneaut Lake, the largest natural lake in PA. Then, there’s French Creek, a paradise for paddlers. Finally, Pymatuning Reservoir is a huge spillway that’s famous for its carp-feeding frenzy.
The area is known for tool and die manufacturing. But there’s plenty of farmland too. Locals rave about the fall foliage drives through the countryside. You’ll find some legit Amish communities in parts of the county.
