Dundy County, Nebraska

Dundy County is way down in the southwestern corner of Nebraska, bordering Kansas and Colorado. Benkelman is the county seat, a small town with a lot of character.
The landscape here is classic High Plains: wide-open spaces with the occasional creek or canyon to break things up. Farming and ranching are the big industries, with wheat and cattle being the main players.
The county has some interesting history too, including ties to the Dust Bowl era. And if you’re into nature, you might want to check out Rock Creek State Fish Hatchery. It’s a peaceful spot for a picnic or some fishing.
