Chase County sits way out in southwestern Nebraska, right up against the Colorado border. It’s named after Champion S. Chase, Nebraska’s first Attorney General. Imperial is the county seat.
The landscape here is classic High Plains with lots of wide-open spaces. Agriculture’s the lifeblood of the county, with both crops and cattle playing big roles.
