Hansford County, Texas

Hansford County is up in the northern tip of the Texas Panhandle. Spearman, the county seat, is just about 30 miles from the Oklahoma border. The county has some cool history. It’s named after John Hansford, a Texas judge and legislator.
Hansford County is wide-open country out here. The land is flat, perfect for farming. You’ll see lots of wheat fields and cattle ranches. Oil and gas are big business too.
Gruver is another town in the county, just over 1,000 people. It’s the kind of place where a stranger will stop to help you change a flat tire. Hansford County has that true Texas Panhandle spirit.
