Jackson County, Wisconsin

Jackson County sits in west-central Wisconsin, where the Driftless Area meets the Central Plains. It’s a place with sand plains in the east and rugged hills in the west.
The Black River runs through it with great kayaking and fishing. ATVing is popular in its miles of trails to explore. Hikers love Black River State Forest, especially in fall when the colors are stunning.
Cranberry bogs fill the eastern part of the county. In fact, Jackson County is one of the top cranberry producers in the country. The Ho-Chunk Nation has a strong presence here. Winters bring opportunities for cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. It’s where you can really get away from it all.
