Kendall County, Texas

The Texas Hill Country doesn’t get much prettier than Kendall County. Boerne, the county seat, is a piece of small-town heaven. But with big-city amenities just down the road in San Antonio. The Guadalupe River winds through the county. It’s perfect for tubing on a hot summer day.
Limestone hills and cypress-lined creeks define the landscape. It’s ranching country, but with a twist. You’re as likely to see exotic game as cattle. The county has German roots. You can see it in the architecture, taste it in the food.
Cave Without a Name is a natural wonder. They actually host concerts here. Another natural wonder is Cascade Caverns. Above ground, wildflowers paint the hills each spring. It’s no wonder people are flocking here. But longtime residents are working hard to keep the Hill Country character intact.
