Blanco County, Texas

Blanco County is just north of San Antonio and west of Austin. Small towns and big skies are what you’ll find here. It’s a slice of old Texas, holding its own.
The Blanco River runs through it. It’s clear and cool so it’s perfect for a summer dip. Ranching is still big business. But nowadays, there are wineries too and lavender farms.
Johnson City, LBJ’s hometown, is here. History’s all around. The night skies are dark. Great for stargazing. It’s quiet. Peaceful.
