Rolling hills and winding rivers define Richland County in southwest Wisconsin. The Driftless Area’s unique landscape makes for some killer views. Richland Center, the county seat, was home to Frank Lloyd Wright as a kid.
You’ll find a mix of dairy farms and small towns here. The Pine River runs through the county, popular with canoeists and kayakers. Hunting is a popular pastime, especially during deer season.
There’s a strong Amish presence in parts of the county. Richland County has some quirky attractions, like the A.D. German Warehouse, one of Wright’s few public buildings.
