Saunders County, Nebraska

Saunders County sits right in the heart of eastern Nebraska. Wahoo is the county seat. Yep, that’s really its name. Three rivers run through here, which are the Platte, the Elkhorn, and the Wahoo.
The county is a mix of farmland and small towns. Corn and soybeans are the big crops. But there’s some cattle too.
The old Saunders County Courthouse is something to see. Built in 1904, it is still in use today. Folks here are friendly, in that Midwestern way. One of the best things about here is that it’s close enough to Lincoln and Omaha for day trips.
