Sherman County, Nebraska

Central Nebraska is home to Sherman County. Loup City is the county seat. They call it the “Polish Capital of Nebraska”. No kidding.
Farming is the main gig. But there’s something special about this place. Maybe it’s the way folks look out for each other. Or the way they celebrate their heritage.
The Polish Days festival is something else and it brings the whole community together. It’s a small county, population-wise. But it’s got a big heart. The Middle Loup River runs through here as well so it creates some nice scenery.
