Custer County, Nebraska

Custer County sits right in the middle of Nebraska, taking up a big chunk of the state’s central region. It’s named after the famous (or infamous, depending on who you ask) General George Armstrong Custer.
Broken Bow is the county seat. But don’t worry, no actual broken bows here. The landscape is a mix of rolling hills and valleys, with the South Loup River winding its way through.
There’s a real sense of community here, especially during the Custer County Fair each summer. The Pressey State Recreation Grounds is partly in the county. Yeah, there is some OK hunting in Nebraska!
