Fresno County sits right in the heart of California’s Central Valley. Fresno is the county seat and largest city in the valley.
Glenn County is pure agricultural country in the northern Sacramento Valley. It’s bordered by the Sacramento River and the Coast Ranges.
Humboldt County is way up north on the coast. It’s redwood country here, with some trees taller than skyscrapers.

Marin is just north of San Francisco, over the Golden Gate Bridge. It’s where the rich folks live. Think fancy houses with killer views.
Mariposa is in the Sierra foothills, and it’s all about Yosemite. A big chunk of the park’s in the county. Mariposa is the county seat.
Mendocino is on the coast, north of San Francisco. It has these cute little towns that look like they’re straight out of a movie.
