US Counties

Polk County sprawls across Oregon’s Willamette Valley, west of Salem.Western Oregon University calls Monmouth home. The county seat is Dallas.

Sherman County is out in north-central Oregon. The John Day River carves through its eastern edge. You’ll find lots of wheat and wind turbines

Tillamook County hugs Oregon’s northern coast. It’s where forest meets ocean. The county’s named after the Tillamook people.

Umatilla County is tucked away in northeast Oregon, where the Blue Mountains meet the Columbia Plateau. The county’s big on agriculture.

Union County sits in the northeast corner of Oregon. You’ll find Blue Mountains and sprawling valleys. La Grande is the county seat.

Wallowa County is way out in Oregon’s northeast, bordering Idaho and Washington. It’s known as the “Swiss Alps of Oregon”

Wasco County straddling the Columbia River in north-central Oregon. The Dalles, its biggest city, was once the end of the Oregon Trail.

Washington County is next door to Portland in northwest Oregon. Hillsboro hosts Intel’s biggest site. Beaverton is where Nike calls home.

Wheeler County is Oregon’s least populous county, located right in the center of the state. Fossil, the county seat and has around 500 people.

Yamhill County is northwest Oregon. It’s in Oregon’s northern Willamette Valley, about an hour southwest of the City of Portland.
