Wallowa County, Oregon

Wallowa County is way out in Oregon’s northeast, bordering Idaho and Washington. It’s known as the “Swiss Alps of Oregon” because of the Wallowa Mountains. These jagged peaks will take your breath away.
Enterprise is the county seat, but Joseph is a tiny town with a big art scene. It’s definitely worth a visit. Hells Canyon is North America’s deepest river gorge, which cuts along the county’s eastern edge.
Farmers grow wheat and barley in the valleys. Elk roam free. The Nez Perce called this place home for thousands of years. Wallowa County is remote, wild, and absolutely stunning.
