Umatilla County is tucked away in northeast Oregon, where the Blue Mountains meet the Columbia Plateau. The county’s big on agriculture, from wheat to those sweet Hermiston melons.
Pendleton is the county seat. It hosts the famous Round-Up every September, which has been going on for more than 100 years. Cowboys and city slickers mingle.
