US Counties

McMullen County is in South Texas. Tiny population, big on character. You’ll find it about halfway between San Antonio and Corpus Christi.

Medina County is just west of San Antonio in the Texas Hill Country. The county is named after the Medina River, which winds its way through.

Menard County is right in the middle of Texas. The San Saba River runs through it, green and inviting. Menard is the only real town.

Midland County sits in the Permian Basin, right in the middle of West Texas. They call Midland, the county seat, the “Tall City”.

Milam County stretches across the Blackland Prairie in Central Texas. The San Gabriel River and Little River meet here.

Mills County sits in the heart of the state, where the Hill Country meets the plains. Goldthwaite is the county seat in the center.

Mitchell County lies in West Texas within the South Plains and Edwards Plateau. Colorado City is the county seat of this Texas county.

Montague County sits up in North Texas, right on the Oklahoma border. Bowie, the largest town, was once a stop on the Chisholm Trail.

Montgomery County is just north of Houston in eastern Texas. It’s one of the fastest-growing counties in the state of Texas.

Moore County is up in the Texas Panhandle. Dumas is the county seat, a small city. Farmers here grow wheat, corn, and other crops.

The piney woods of East Texas are home to Morris County. Daingerfield serves as the county seat. Lakes and forests cover the landscape.

Motley County sits right in the middle of the Texas Plains. Matador is the county seat, which sounds like something out of an old Western.

Located in the eastern part of the state, the county is steeped in history. They call Nacogdoches the oldest town in Texas. It’s true.

Navarro County sits in the heart of East Texas. Corsicana is the county seat, which is known for the famous Collin Street Bakery.

Newton County is in East Texas, right on the Louisiana border. The county seat is Newton, where Texas and Cajun cultures blend.
