US Counties

Jackson County is a piece of northeast Georgia, just an hour from the big city. But it feels worlds away with swagger all on its own.

Jasper County is right in the middle of the state, about an hour southeast of Atlanta. Small-town charm oozes everywhere like Monticello.

Jeff Davis County is small-town Georgia at its finest. It’s in the southeastern part of state, about halfway between Savannah and Valdosta.

Jefferson County is about two and a half hours from Atlanta. It’s in east-central Georgia, a place with pine forests and rolling farmland.

Jenkins County, Georgia is part of rural America. You’ll find it in the eastern part of the state, about an hour south of Augusta.

Johnson County is a place that takes Southern charm to the utmost degree. It’s tucked in the east-central part of the state near Augusta.

Jones County is right in the heart of the state, just north of Macon. Gray is the county seat, located in the center of the county.

Lamar County is in the middle of Georgia and just an hour south of Atlanta. Barnesville, the county seat, is where highways 41 and 341 meet.

Lanier County is under 200 square miles in area. Although this tiny county might be easy to miss on a map, it has lots of character to spare.

Laurens County is in the heart of central Georgia, about halfway between Macon and Savannah. Dublin is the county seat in the center.

Lee County is just north of Albany in southwest Georgia. It’s close enough to the city but far enough to feel like its own world.

Liberty County sits on the coast just south of Savannah. Hinesville is the county seat but Midway has some of the oldest churches in Georgia.

Lincoln County is a part of rural America that flies under the radar. It’s in the eastern part of the state on the South Carolina border.

Long County, Georgia, is a place that marches to its own beat. It’s nestled in the southeastern part of the state, not far from the coast.

Lowndes County sits in the heart of south Georgia, right on the Florida line. Valdosta is the county seat and the biggest city in the county.
