Laurens County, Georgia

Laurens County is in the heart of central Georgia, about halfway between Macon and Savannah. Dublin, the county seat, is where most of the action’s at.
The Oconee River cuts right through it, but so does interstate, I-16. History runs deep here. The county has been around since 1807, and it shows. You’ll find antebellum homes and old cotton warehouses scattered about.
Farming is still big business. Peanuts, cotton, and timber are the local bread and butter. During the St. Patrick’s Day festival, they go all out with a month of events. Folks here are friendly as can be.
