Garden County, Nebraska

Garden County is way out in western Nebraska. Don’t let the name fool you. This ain’t no flower garden. It’s rugged, beautiful country. The sand hills roll on forever, looking almost like ocean waves frozen in time.
The north is covered with lakes. Ranching is the big deal here. Cattle graze on native grasses, just like they’ve done for over a century. Oshkosh is the county seat, a tiny town with a whole lot of character.
You want to see the stars? This is the place. No city lights for miles and miles. The Oregon Trail passed through here back in the day. Now, it’s a paradise for hunters and anyone who loves the outdoors.
