Callaway County, Missouri

The mighty Cedar Creek forms the western border of Callaway County. It’s located in the middle of the state, just across the river from Jefferson City.
Folks around here are proud of their “Kingdom of Callaway” nickname. It comes from the Civil War, when the county tried to stay neutral.
Fulton is the biggest town and is home to Westminster College and the National Churchill Museum. Yeah, that Churchill. He gave his famous “Iron Curtain” speech there in ’46. The Katy Trail runs through the county. Great for biking. There’s good fishing too.
