Montgomery County, Missouri

Montgomery County is just east of the state’s center. It straddles the line between prairie and forest. The Missouri River forms its southern border with its scenic bluffs and rich bottomlands.
Montgomery City, the county seat, has a classic small-town feel. Farming’s still big business here. You can find wineries here that are part of the Missouri Rhineland.
The rolling hills burst with color come autumn. Winters can be tough, but spring brings an explosion of wildflowers.
