Butler County, Missouri

Butler County is down in the Bootheel of Missouri. It’s mostly flat, with rich soil that’s great for farming. Poplar Bluff is the county seat and biggest town. They call it “The Gateway to the Ozarks”.
The Black River runs through here, perfect for fishing and floating. Outdoorsy types love the Mark Twain National Forest, which occupies the northern region.
The county’s got a strong manufacturing base, but agriculture is still king. There’s a sense of community here that’s hard to beat. You’ll find friendly faces at the local diners and mom-and-pop shops. Butler County might not be flashy, but it’s got heart.
