Castro County, Texas

Castro Location Map Texas

Castro County is in Panhandle region in Northern Texas. It’s farm country, pure and simple. You’ll find miles of wheat fields that stretch as far as the eye can see.

Dimmitt is the county seat and is home to about 4,000 folks. They’re tough out here. There’s sometimes tornadoes in the spring and blizzards in the winter. But when summer rolls around, it’s beautiful.

The county is named after Henri Castro, a Texas empresario. Nazareth and Hart are the other two communities here. There’s not much nightlife, but the stargazing is incredible.
