Cedar County, Nebraska

Cedar County is up in the northeast corner of Nebraska, right along the Missouri River. It got its name from all the cedar trees that used to grow along the river bluffs.
The landscape here is a mix of rolling hills and fertile farmland. Agriculture’s the main game in town, with corn, soybeans, and cattle being the big three.
Hartington is the county seat, located in the center. There’s a strong German and Czech heritage in these parts, evident in some of the local festivals and cuisine. Fishing and boating are popular on the Missouri River in the north.
