Dixon County, Nebraska

Dixon County is up in the northeastern corner of Nebraska. It’s right along the Missouri River, which forms its northern border. Ponca is the county seat and it has a big history.
The county’s home to Ponca State Park, a beautiful spot for hiking, camping, and taking in the Missouri River views. The landscape is agriculture, with corn and soybeans being the big crops.
But there’s more to it than just farming. And if you’re into Native American history, you might be interested in the nearby Ionia Volcano. Don’t worry, it’s not actually a volcano, just a cool geological formation with a lot of history.
